What Is Paraquat?
Paraquat is an herbicide used in commercial applications. It’s extremely effective at controlling weeds, but it is also extremely toxic to humans. Due to its toxicity, it’s banned in 32 countries. Despite this, it remains in use throughout the U.S. to control weeds in commercial agriculture.
The largest manufacturer of Paraquat is a company called Syngenta, which distributes Paraquat under the brand name Gramoxone®.
