Fairhope Workers’ Compensation Lawyers
Representing Injured Workers in Baldwin County
On-the-job injuries can render employees severely hurt and unable to return to their job for an extended period of time. Most work injuries are covered by workers’ compensation insurance, however, claims can be denied, and the benefits that are issued may not cover the full scope of an injury.
If you have not been fairly compensated for an injury you sustained while working, contact Morris, Andrews, Talmadge & Driggers, LLC. We offer free initial consultations to discuss your rights.

Alabama Workers’ Compensation Laws
Workers’ compensation provides coverage for medical expenses and lost wages resulting from an on-the-job injury. Alabama state law mandates that all employees are covered by workers’ compensation insurance, with the exception of those in the domestic and agricultural industries, as well as those who are employed by towns with a population under 2,000 people. Workers’ compensation in Alabama also does not provide benefits for mental conditions.
Alabama workers who are injured on the job have two years after the day they were injured to file for workers’ compensation benefits. The benefits an injured employee receives will depend on the severity of the injury, and whether it is classified as a temporary partial disability, temporary total disability, permanent partial disability, or permanent total disability. The maximum amount of compensation an injured worker in Alabama can receive is $832 per week.
Your Resource Following an On-the-Job Injury
After you’ve been injured at your place of work, it is possible that your employer and their insurance provider may deny or undervalue your workers’ compensation claim. Even if your claim results in maximum benefits, workers’ compensation still only covers medical bills and lost wages — you will not receive coverage for additional damages, such as pain and suffering, under workers’ compensation benefits.
To get the full benefits you are entitled to after a work injury, contact Morris, Andrews, Talmadge & Driggers, LLC. Our workers’ compensation lawyers in Fairhope are dedicated to helping your recover from the full financial impact of an on-the-job accident.
