Attorney Joseph Morris Argues Before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals

Attorney Joseph Morris of Morris, Andrews, Talmadge & Driggers recently argued before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia. The matter involved the death of a pretrial detainee in the Barbour County Alabama jail for violation of his 14th amendment rights under the United States Constitution and for wrongful death under Alabama state law. The 11th Circuit granted oral argument regarding the application of a recently passed Alabama Statue involving immunity protection for jailers and the interpretation of certain parts of that statute. Mr. Morris was arguing as the appellee in this matter. A decision has not been released by the 11th Circuit yet.
